Walk the Sculpture Trail While you're exploring the town on foot, don't miss the 10 eclectic artworks on the sculpture trail. This landmark showcases the work of artists who live in the state. You can start the trail by parking your vehicle at the Richard H. Thornton Library, 210 Main St. Maps are available from the Downtown Economic Development Corporation at 300 Williamsburg St. 5. Explore Falls Lake State Recreation Area This state park is just a 15-minute drive from town, so jump in your GMC Terrain for an adventure. Falls Lake State Recreation Area in Wake Forest offers 25 miles of hiking trails, 14 miles of biking trails, fishing, picnic shelters, and bird watching. Several campgrounds offer the opportunity to spend the night in nature. Spend time in the nature center to learn more about the park's plants and animals. You can visit from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through February 28, except on Christmas Day.
