Chevy builds SUVs for every kind of family. City dwellers with a stroller? Covered. Weekend warriors hauling kids, gear, and maybe a dog or two? There’s a vehicle for that, too. The automaker offers nine 2025 Chevy SUVs total, but we’ll focus on six of the most versatile.
6 Great 2025 Chevy SUVs
1. Trax
Why go bigger when the Trax gives just about everything you need? It’s got room for five, an exterior that gets second looks, great gas mileage (28 mpg city, 30 mpg highway), and modern touches like an eight-inch or 11-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can even option the base LS with perks like heated front seats and remote start to add extra comfort to your ride.
The Trax excels in its class for cargo-carrying capacity. With all the seats down, it offers up to 54 cubic feet of room, beating out competitors like the CX-30 and the Envista. All in all, it’s an excellent city runabout.
2. Trailblazer
The Trailblazer is close to the Trax in style and size, but it pulls ahead in two key ways: more muscle under the hood (155 hp vs. 137 hp) and available all-wheel drive paired with a nine-speed auto transmission for those who like a little capability when the pavement ends. Off-road goodies like an off-road-tuned suspension and skid plates are exclusive to the top-of-the-range ACTIV trim.
3. Equinox
Move up to the compact segment, and you get more of everything. Yes, the Equinox still seats five passengers, but there’s extra room where it counts. For instance, rear passengers get four more cubic feet to stretch out, and cargo volume behind the front seat jumps up by a solid 10 cubic feet.
4. Blazer
If the Equinox feels a bit too cozy, the Blazer should feel just right. It’s about 8.8 inches longer and 1.6 inches taller than the Equinox and comes with a Camaro-inspired interior that cranks up the sportiness. But the best part? That would be under the hood. A 228-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder is the standard offering, but if you’re after more brawn, the optional 3.5-liter V6 makes a hearty 308 horsepower.
5. Traverse
Are two rows not cutting it? The Traverse, Chevy’s third-largest SUV, steps in with three, giving you enough room for seven or eight, depending on whether you go with captain’s chairs or a bench in the second row.
6. Tahoe
The truck-based Tahoe is built for big plans. Highlights include enough room for up to nine passengers, a cavernous 123 cubic feet of max cargo room, a sweet V8, an 8,400-pound towing capacity, and trim-exclusive upgrades that dial up the comfort, style, and off-road grit.
